Yohji — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 October 2026 (v3) · Developer: Muhammad Danial Bin Iskandar Shah (Singapore)
Yohji is an AI assistant. Anyone can create a free Personal account with Google or Apple (on iPhone); work (department) accounts are approved by the Yohji administrator. Personal accounts never see any work data.
What Yohji stores
- Account details — your name, department, job title and login (password stored hashed), and your email if you add one or sign in with Google or Apple (used for sign-in and password-reset codes). With Sign in with Apple you can hide your email; Yohji then only gets Apple's private relay address.
- What you send — chat messages, photos and files you upload, and work records you add (jobs, notes, breakdowns), so Yohji can answer and your team can see them.
- Work data — readings from connected building sensors and job tickets forwarded by your team.
- Notification token — if you allow notifications, a device token so alerts can reach your phone.
- Things you connect — if you choose to connect your Google account, Yohji reads (never changes) your Gmail and Google Calendar to answer you; if you link Spotify, it controls your own playback. You can disconnect any time in Account & sign-in.
- My space — notes, to-dos, links and smart-home buttons you add, including any keys you paste for IFTTT, Home Assistant or webhooks. They are stored for your account only and used only when you run them.
- Location — if you allow it, your approximate location (about 1 km) to show local weather. It isn't stored.
- Your phone's time zone — so reminders, your morning brief and the clock follow your local time.
- Money, habits & countdowns — only what you log in Hub → Me; kept on your account, never shared.
- Games — your daily Word/Trivia results. Other players only see your first name and score if you turn on “Show my name on the leaderboard”.
- Music on your phone — on Android, if you allow notification access, Yohji reads the song title/artist that's playing so it can show and control it. It never reads your other notifications.
Web browsing for you
When you ask Yohji to look something up on a website, it opens its own browser on Yohji's server and visits public websites for you while you watch. It starts empty every time (no cookies, no logins), never types passwords, card numbers or personal details, and asks you (Deny / Allow) before pressing anything that buys, pays, sends, posts, deletes or signs up. Screenshots of those pages are sent to the AI provider so it can see what to do next. The session is held in memory only and cleared within about an hour; it isn't saved to your account.
How it is used
Only to run Yohji for you and your team: answering questions, showing dashboards, and sending alerts. Messages may be processed by AI model providers (such as Anthropic or OpenAI) to generate replies; they are not used by Yohji for advertising. Yohji has no ads and does not sell or share personal data.
AI providers
Yohji uses these providers through their business API, under terms that do not use your messages to train their models by default. They may keep messages for a limited time for safety and abuse checks, as set out in their own policies: Anthropic · OpenAI.
Who can see your data
Only Yohji's developer can access the server, and only to run, fix or secure it. In a work (department) account, work records you share with your team can be seen by that team and its admins. Your Personal account, chats, My space, money/habits and connected accounts are not shown to other users.
Microphone and camera
Used only when you tap to talk or to take/choose a photo. Nothing is recorded in the background.
Where data is kept & how it's protected
On Yohji's own server (DigitalOcean, Singapore region). Connections use HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, keys and account files are readable only by the server, and every page needs a login. Yohji is built and run by one developer and has not had an independent security audit. Data is kept while your account is active.
Deleting your data
Delete your account yourself any time in Settings → Account & sign-in → Delete account — it is removed straight away. You can also ask by email (contact below); requests are handled within 30 days. Server backups are overwritten within 30 days, so deleted data is fully gone from backups by then. Details: yohjiai.com/delete-account.
Children
Yohji is a work tool and is not intended for children.
